Feeling Good!!



My distance today on the treadmill was 5 miles.  I have never walked, hopped, skipped, jumped, or biked for 5 miles.  So to see 5 miles as a distance that I actually covered by running (with a few walk breaks in between) is astonishing to me.  I am not sure what made me go 5 miles.  I just had it in my head that I had to kick it up a notch today.

My weekend was filled with kids school activities as well as a reconciliation program for my son. I didn't have much time for myself, which is o.k.  The weekends should be about family.  We had a couple nice family dinners, watched some sports on t.v and worked on science projects and valentine cards.

So this morning, once I got the kids off to school, I thought that I needed to accomplish something for myself.  So I psyched myself up and headed to the treadmill.  I started off doing a nice mile at 5.8 mph. Then I went up a notch to 6.0 then back down to 5.8 until I reached 2 miles.  Then I walked a little and repeated the cycle.  5.8 then 6 then back to 5.8 then walk.  The last 1/2 mile I ran it at 6.2.

So a really good workout day for me today!! Definitely Operation Hardcore Fit!!!
